Privacy Policy for Hidden Manna
Last updated: 18 September 2026
Hidden Manna is a daily Bible word search made by NineKeys. This policy explains what the app stores, what the services it uses collect, and the choices you have. It is written to be read, not to be waded through.
The short version
Hidden Manna has no accounts and no server of its own. Your puzzles, your streak and your settings stay on your phone. The app shows adverts only when you choose to watch one, and those adverts come from Google, who collect advertising data as described below. If you buy premium, the purchase is handled by Apple or Google and tracked by RevenueCat.
What stays on your device
The app stores the following on your phone, in its own storage, and never sends it anywhere:
- Your progress: which words you have found in each puzzle, how long you have played it, and which hints you have used.
- Your completed puzzles: the date, the translation, the time taken, and how many hints you used. Your streak is worked out from these.
- Your settings: theme, translation, text size, haptics, and whether you want the daily reminder.
- Counts for the day: how many videos you have watched and how many free puzzles you have started, so the daily limits work.
- A random identifier created on first launch. It never leaves the device, is not linked to you, and exists so that your free-play puzzles come in an order of their own.
Deleting the app deletes all of it. There is no copy anywhere else, and nothing to request from us because we do not hold it.
Adverts, from Google AdMob
Hidden Manna shows rewarded videos only, and only after you choose to watch one in exchange for a hint, a past day's puzzle, or an extra free-play puzzle. There are no banners, no adverts between screens, and nothing during play.
Adverts are served by Google AdMob. To do that, Google may collect and process:
- Your device's advertising identifier (the Advertising ID on Android, the Identifier for Advertisers on iOS).
- Device and network information such as the model, operating system version, language, rough location derived from your IP address, and how you interacted with the advert.
Google uses this to serve and measure adverts, and, where you allow it, to personalise them. Google's own explanation of how it handles this data is at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Your choices about adverts:
- In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the app asks for your consent before any personalised advertising happens, using Google's consent form. You can change your answer at any time from Settings, then Ad privacy choices.
- On iOS, the system asks separately whether the app may track you across other companies' apps and websites. If you say no, adverts still work, but they are not personalised. You can change it in your device's Settings under Privacy and Security, then Tracking.
- On Android, you can reset or delete your Advertising ID in your device's settings.
Declining anything here does not reduce what the app does. Every puzzle, hint and feature works the same.
Purchases, from RevenueCat
If you buy a subscription or the lifetime unlock, the payment is handled entirely by Apple or Google. We never see your card details.
We use RevenueCat to keep track of whether a purchase is active. RevenueCat receives a randomly generated purchase identifier, your purchase receipt from the store, and basic device information such as platform and country. RevenueCat's privacy policy is at revenuecat.com/privacy.
Notifications
If you turn on the daily reminder, the app schedules one notification a day on your phone, saying today's verse is ready. It is scheduled on the device. No server sends it, and no one is told that you received it. You can turn it off in Settings, then Daily reminder, or in your device's settings.
Children
Hidden Manna is not aimed at children and is not in any store's children's category. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the advertising described above, contact us and we will help you with the relevant opt-outs.
Your rights
Because the app holds your data only on your own device, most data rights are in your hands directly: delete the app to erase everything. For the data Google or RevenueCat process as described above, their own policies explain the rights you have, including under the GDPR and the UK GDPR, and under California law.
If you have a question, or want to know what a specific screen does with your information, write to us. We will answer plainly.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and the new version appears at this address. Material changes will also be noted in the app.
